The weeping woman originates the 1550s, its most recognized location in Mexico to Chile; the legend of the weeping woman is ancient.

La llorona se origina en la década de 1550, su lugar más reconocido en México hasta Chile; la leyenda de la mujer que llora es muy antigua.   

At the beginning of the 17th century, when a pretty woman fell in love with a Spanish man, they married and had three children.

A inicios del siglo XVII (17), cuando una mujer se enamora de un hombre español, se casan y tienen 3 hijos.

The man was unfaithful to "Malinche" with a Spanish woman, Malenchi´s revenge was to drown her children in the Texcoco river.

El señor le fue infiel a "Malinche" con una mujer española, la venganza de "Malinche" fue ahogar a sus hijos en el río Texcoco.

Resentful for having drowned her children, the woman commits suicide by jumping into the Texcoco river. A few day later, a man found his body, the man, like a good Christian, buried "Malinche". 

Resentida por haber ahogado sus hijos, la mujer se suicida tirándose al río Texcoco. Unos días después, un hombre encontró su cuerpo, el hombre, como un buen cristiano, enterró a "Malinche".

  

Every night, he scares people with his screams saying, "Oh my children!!!". This happens more than anything in towns, cities and rivers. Some say that the weeping woman flies or walks to look for her children.

Cada noche, asusta a la gente con sus gritos diciendo, "¡¡¡Ay mis hijos!!!", esto sucede mas que todo en pueblos, ciudades y ríos. Algunos dicen que "La Llorona" vuela o camina para buscar a sus hijos.
